UPDATE: My life is rather upside down at the moment. ETD will be on indefinite hiatus ’til I can get my life back in order. Sorry I’ve been SERIOUSLY MIA lately. I’ll do my best to keep you posted. -Sam

Sam, your comic is among the bests I have read so far ! For once, not kid-oriented (^v^), characters are beautiful, original storyline, but really a pity that you don’t update anymore. Btw, the girl picture on panel 6 is really cute. Can I marry her ?

@cgd: There’s a lot of things I could’ve done better.
@saddust: Thanks! I wanted to aim for mature. I will be returning to doing ETD at some point after I take care of a couple of personal matters. And she’s too young to get married, dude!
@djsdjs: It’s mostly economic, but also professional issues as well. I’m actually considering rebooting ETD into some other form. Same characters, somewhat altered, storyline somewhat altered, and with a far more mature, seasoned approach. My mind’s changed a lot over the past year and quite unexpectedly.

While its great to be mature, it doesn’t always make for an interesting story. Usually it is the journey towards maturity where interesting mistakes happen and the over coming of obsticals occur. Growth and change are fun to watch and make for drama.
At the moment you have a pretty classic good vs evil and your hero is already super charged. This doesn’t give him a lot of room for growth and makes him predictable.
Perhaps he was in cold storage because he is more neutral in his motives? Maybe his powers are blocked because the good guys fear what he might do and he is trying to break free of their control. They need his help, he needs the return of his powers, they seek a particular order he finds stifling, they both face a common enemy and then there are the humans in the middle with unexpected secular technologies alien to the spiritual ones.
I feel your pain on the economic side – your art is top notch, you might see if you can sell more of it here – maybe some fan boy cheesecake

Oh, an update. Sorta. Close enough.
Was starting to fear I’d have to give up on ETD. Glad to see you’re still kicking.
As for rebooting the thing, I think I’ll stay kinda neutral. It could be a good idea, or it could be horrible. A successful reboot can do wonders for a comic, but I’ve seen some underestimate the time and energy needed, and go right down the shitter because of it.
Not that I mind the current format, but if you think you can make it better, go for it. Just be sure you know exactly what you’re getting into. I’d really hate to see ETD end up in the bin.
