Damn straight they’re gonna be rich. Outright prohibition of something doesn’t kill the market, it just moves it underground. Once cybernetic enhancement is only availabe on the black market, the price can easily double, triple, or more. Not to mention the total lack of government regulation means they can do whatever the hell they want. But even ignoring unethical business practices, banning cybernetics is one of the best things they can do for the market, since it seems to already be established.
Most likely, whatever number she just came up with was a very conservative under-estimate.
No more color…
Ah well, it was glorious while it lasted. Like a falling star, it burned brightly, but hit the atmosphere with too little mass and exploded into particles.
I hope at least you keep the color option for special occasions and the eventual character page (it would be nice to have a color reference for the characters)
Wait, got another one.
*Ahem*
Cue drama.
Alas, poor Color! I kew him, Commentbox; a fellow of infinite nuance, of most excellent depiction; he hath warmed my eyes a thousand times(more like six. 24, counting all the covers, I think); and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is!
The funny part is that I didn’t actually realize it had gone back to B&W before I read the comments. Don’t know how you’d miss something like that.
Sorry for not responding sooner guys. Life is being evil to me now. So much to do, so little time.
@groundhog: on the upside, I can focus on the story more.
@metroid: yeah, of course I’ll still be using color for special occasions. I might go for the manga standard of having the first 2-3 pages colored next go around. Cast page will be in color
@old sage: you ask a very smart question. the answer however, remains to be seen…

Downsizing ‘cuz of the economy. Can’t spend 16-18 hours every week doing colors anymore. ;(
